RBI Assistant Selection Process 2023
In the RBI Assistant Selection Process for 2023, candidates will go through three stages:
Preliminary Exam: This phase serves as a qualification round. The scores from this phase won’t be used for the final selection decision.
Mains Exam: Your performance in this stage is crucial for final selection. So, it’s not just about passing the cut-off; you’ll need to score well to increase your chances of being selected.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT): According to the RBI Assistant notification 2023, the final selection depends on your performance in both the main exam and the language proficiency test. This test will be conducted in the local language of the respective state. It’s important to note that candidates who are not proficient in the local language may face disqualification.

Important Notes: RBI ASSISTANT NOTIFICATION 2023
- The online tests, except for the Test of English Language, are available in both English and Hindi.
- To proceed to the Main Examination, candidates must pass the Preliminary Examination.
- Negative marking applies for wrong answers, with 1/4th of marks deducted for each incorrect response.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
As per the RBI Assistant Notification 2023 PDF, candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main online examination will need to undergo a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). This test will be conducted in the Official/Local Language of the respective state, as specified below. Candidates who are not proficient in the Official/Local Language will be disqualified.
