Livingstone’s Stellar 95-Run Knock Powers England to 226-7 Total
In the second one-day international match between England and New Zealand Liam Livingstone’s brilliant innings of 95 runs helped England reach a total of 226-7. This remarkable performance by Livingstone came after New Zealand’s star bowler Trent Boult’s early wickets on Sunday in Southampton. Due to rain interruptions, the match was reduced to 34 overs per team. England faced a tough situation as they were struggling at 8-3 after losing the toss and were at 55-5 when Livingstone came to bat in the 13th over. The experienced left-arm fast bowler Boult bowled an excellent spell, taking three wickets for 37 runs in his 100th one-day international match. However, Livingstone received good support from Moeen Ali early on, and they shared a partnership of 112 runs in 77 balls with all-rounder Sam Curran (42) before making a comeback.
