The proposal of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 to include these sports in the program has been accepted in the ongoing 141st IOC session in Mumbai.

IOC Member Nita M Ambani said, “As a proud Indian and a cricket fan, I am delighted that IOC members have voted to include cricket in the Los Angeles Summer Olympics 2028.
