Snoop Dogg has announced on social media that he is giving up his most well-known vice.
“I’m giving up smoke,” Snoop Dogg wrote on X and Instagram. “After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
Some speculated that the 52-year-old Snoop may switch to cannabis edibles to preserve his lungs.
The decision was made suddenly, but no explanation was provided. It’s unclear whether the well-known tobacco enthusiast is completely giving up on using Tobacco.
Snoop Dogg has been associated with tobacco throughout his career, dating back to his guest appearances on Dr. Dre’s 1992 album, “The Chronic.”
Just like tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke can be irritating to the lungs. It also contains permanent chemicals and tar at levels comparable to tobacco smoke, which raises concerns about the potential risks of cancer and lung disease, especially for frequent users.

Right after that, his fans filled the comments, thinking the 52-year-old was either joking or switching to eating cannabis instead of smoking it.
