BJP had demanded action

It is noteworthy that BJP leaders had demanded action regarding the statements of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi. A party delegation including BJP general secretary Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal and Om Pathak had also submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission.

The memorandum sought immediate intervention by taking appropriate legal action against Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for fraudulent, baseless and outrageous conduct. The memorandum said that the statements of Congress leaders will spoil the election environment. This will make it difficult to stop the use of abusive language, offensive language and false news to defame respected persons.

Panauti called PM a pickpocket

Rahul Gandhi, in an election rally, had described PM Narendra Modi as a ‘pickpocket’, a ‘pickpocket’ and a loan waiverer of big industrialists. The Election Commission has issued a show cause notice to Rahul Gandhi for these comments. The Commission has asked him to reply by Saturday (25 November) evening. On this, Supriya Sule has said that Rahul Gandhi is a brave leader.

He has also said that December 3 is going to be a ‘good day for Congress and India’ in the assembly elections being held in five states. Sule, Lok Sabha member from Baramati, said that 95 percent of the people who have received Enforcement Directorate (ED) notices are from the opposition.

“Rahul Gandhi will not be afraid of anyone”

Sule, working president of Sharad Pawar-led NCP, said, “Rahul is a warrior and he will fight. I am confident that he will fight bravely and will not be afraid of anyone. I am sure that he will fight the Election Commission’s notice in an honest and Will give a respectful reply.

Taking aim at BJP, Sule said that we have many examples in which BJP has talked about Gandhi’s family. Now if he says something then one should not feel bad. BJP had even commented about his great grandfather. Sule said that it is for the voters of Rajasthan to decide which party’s government they want for the next five years.
