Uttarakhand Tunnel Latest Update : Workers can come out any time

The ongoing excavation to rescue 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel accident in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand has been completed. The workers were stranded here for the last 17 days. In such a situation, rescue operation was being conducted on war footing to take them out. In this way, after 17 days of operation, the tunnel has opened. In this way, the process of evicting the workers is going to start in some time.

Preparations have been completed at the Community Health Center Chinyalisaur for the treatment of workers. At the same time, people have reached near the tunnel with garlands for the workers.
There is information that some workers have been pulled out of the pipe. The medical team is also inside the tunnel. Some family members have also been called there. The medical team is checking the workers.
Shambhu Mishra, operator of the auger machine drilling inside the tunnel, said that when the pipe crossed at 1:50 pm, the workers trapped inside jumped with joy. He expressed happiness by waving his hand.

Work done so far by the team

  • The temperature inside the tunnel where the workers were trapped was different, whereas the temperature outside has changed a bit, due to which 7 to 8 beds have been installed inside the tunnel so that they do not face any problem.
  • The pipe has been inserted up to 55.3 meters. Another pipe is being connected to it. After connecting by welding, this pipe will reach the workers.
  • Two ambulances have been sent inside the tunnel. It is believed that the workers will be taken out in these ambulances. Altogether 16 to 17 ambulances are present at the spot. NDRF soldiers were also seen going inside the tunnel with stretchers.
  • The rescue operation has been going on for 17 days. Apart from NDRF and SDRF, Indian Army soldiers are also present at the spot for the rescue operation.

  • Neeraj Khairwal, Secretary of Uttarakhand and nodal officer of the rescue operation, said that till now, we have pushed the pipe up to 55.3 meters. Only a short distance remains. It could be somewhere between 57-59 metres. If there are no other obstacles, it may take a few more hours.

CM has said that as a result of the immense grace of Baba Baukh Nag Ji, prayers of crores of countrymen and the tireless work of all the rescue teams engaged in the rescue operation, the work of laying pipes in the tunnel to take out the workers has been completed. Soon all the labor brothers will be taken out.
